Motor Efficiency

Efficiency η = Pout/Pin × 100%, and the power lost to heat, Ploss = Pin − Pout. For an electric motor, Pin is electrical input power and Pout is mechanical shaft output power.

Motor Pin Pout Ploss = Pin − Pout (heat)
The difference between input and output power is dissipated as heat.
