Flammability & Exposure Limits

Flammability limits are near 25 °C and 1 atm in air [1]. NIOSH LEL/UEL are at room temperature unless a temperature follows, flash points closed cup, ST a 15-minute limit and C a ceiling (a bracket gives another period), as printed in the 2005-149 Pocket Guide [2]; NIOSH lists xylene isomers separately and has no entry for hydrogen, methane, ethane, ethylene or propylene. PELs are from Table Z-1 except where marked Z-2 [3]; “—” means this site has no value. For a mixture use the Flammability Limits of a Mixture calculator.
