Worst-case (linear sum) and statistical (root-sum-square) tolerance stack-up for a chain of up to six dimensions. Worst-case assumes every tolerance hits its limit simultaneously; RSS assumes independent, normally distributed variation and is the more realistic estimate for a large batch.
